The rate in the job post is in PLN, but you might want to calculate it in your own currency. Convert the hourly or monthly rate using the official exchange rate of the National Bank of Poland.

How much is that in hryvnias: how to compare jobs

Converting the rate to your currency is convenient, but you should compare jobs in zł and in net: you will spend money in Poland, and the exchange rate changes daily. Currency matters for one question — how much you will manage to send home. Here, the transfer fee and the difference between the NBP rate and the exchange office or bank rate are also taken into account.

How to send money home cheaper

  • Compare the final amount the recipient will get, not "zero commission" — the difference is often hidden in the exchange rate.
  • Transferring in zł to a card in Ukraine with conversion by the receiving bank is often more profitable than conversion in Poland.
  • Large amounts once a mo are cheaper than many small ones.
